Child sexual abuse involves an adult aggressor who forces a child or adolescent to take part in sexual activity, either stimulating the adult, the child or a third person. This includes touching, groping, molesting, violating, or sexually exploiting a child, or using images that portray such circumstances. Forcing a child to observe sexual acts also constitutes child sexual abuse. There may also be peer abuse, known as child on child sexual abuse, when force is being used or there is a power asymmetry or a significant age difference between victim and perpetrator.
